  2. Resume (school’s format, with signature & gap explanations)

  3. Reasons for Studying in Japan (write on your own)

  4. Pledge Document (school’s format)

  5. Financial Sponsor Form (school’s format)

Education-Related Documents:

  1. Original Graduation Certificate (final education)

  2. Original Transcript (final education)

  3. Certificate of Student Status (if applicable)

  4. Recommendation Letter (if applicable)

Language Proficiency:

  1. JLPT , NAT, JLCT, J-CERTor equivalent certificate (original)

  2. Certificate of 150+ hours Japanese study

Personal Identification:

  1. Copy of Family Register

  2. Copy of ID Card (both sides)

  3. Certificate of Birth

  4. Police Report (if required by immigration)

Employment/Work (if applicable):

  1. Certificate of Employment

  2. Resume (again, this overlaps with above)

Photographs:

  1. 10 identical photos (4cm x 3cm, name written on back)

Financial Documents (From Sponsor):

  1. Bank Balance Certificate (last 3 years)

  2. Explanation of Source of Funds

  4. Tax Statement (last 3 years)

  5. Relationship Proof (e.g., birth certificate, family register)

📌 Important Reminders:

  • Translation Required: Any non-Japanese documents must be submitted with an official Japanese translation.

  • Document Validity: Most documents are valid for 6 months from issue date; those issued in Japan only 3 months.

  • Originals: Immigration returns only specific originals (like certificates); others are not returned.

  • No Corrections: Do not use white-out on documents.

  • Signature Required: All forms and documents must be signed by the applicant and/or financial sponsor.
